A drain snake is a metal cable, usually 25 ft long, attached to a protective drum and is used to unclog a drain. A drain snake is most commonly used for shower drain clogs or sink drain clogs. The cable is pushed by hand from the drum and goes into the drain. There is a hook-like shape at the end of the cable that grabs onto any obstacles in the drain. The drain snake will not pick up heavy objects such as a ring. If you try using a drain snake and it doesn’t unclog the drain, call the professionals at (716) 803-4065 to have it unclogged.
