Summer comes with sunshine, warm weather, and of course, storms. It’s important that you check to make sure that your sump pump is ready for any potential summer storms:
- Clean out your sump pump: Cleaning out your sump pump will help get rid of any debris that could cause a potential clog.
- Make sure your sump pump is connected to a working outlet: Sump pumps work off of energy so it’s important to make sure it’s connected to a working outlet so it can do its job when there is a storm.
- Check to see if your sump pump works: You can check to see if your sump pump works by taking a bucket of water and pouring it in your sump pump and seeing if it pumps the water. If it doesn’t, you should fix it ASAP.
